Sen. Zang. Is a highly respected business administrator and industrialist both locally and internationally.

His academic background started from Gyel Primary School in 1963 to 1969 where he obtained Primary Leaving School Certificate; Gyel Secondary Commercial College, Bukuru in 1970 to 1974 where he obtained WASC; University of Wisconsin U.S.A. 1976 to 1978 where he obtained an Associate degree; Woodberry University, Los Angeles, U.S.A. 1978 to 1980 where he obtained Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

He has served in several Boards. He was a member, Board of Directors JIB Ltd, a position he held till 1984. He is currently the Chairman, Board of SWAN Ltd and Highland Microfinance Bank Plc.

Sen. Zang has been at the head of most pioneering establishments in Plateau State and Nigeria. He was the Area Manager, Plateau Tin Miners Nig. Ltd from 1974 to 1975; Assistant Manager, Plateau Construction Ltd 1975 to 1976; Computer Programmer II, City Bank Corporation (USA), 1980 to 1981; Managing Director, D.B. Zang Group Ltd, 1982 to date; Councillor, Jos LGC, 1986 to 1987; Managing Director, Noque Associates Nig Ltd, 1987 to date.

He was a Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District of Plateau State in the National Assembly, Abuja, from 1999 to 2003. Also, he was a board member of the National Rural Electrification Programme and the Chairman Mineral Resources and Environmental Management Committee in Plateau State.

Is also a member Rotary International District 912 (Paul Hilary Fellow). He is also a member Plateau Club – Jos, Yelwa and Barkin Ladi Club.

He became the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Highland MFB in 2008.

Prof. Yakubu is a distinguished academic and seasoned administrator with over 22 years of combined experience in the Nigerian university system and the civil service. He began his career after graduating with honors in Zoology and is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Zoology, University of Jos, where he also serves as a Member of the University Senate, Deputy Dean of the Postgraduate School, and Chairperson of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Jos Branch. He has also held positions such as Acting Head of Department.

Chief Aputazie is an astute business administrator. He is a career capitalist and  an achiever. Currently, the Managing Director of Aquaflus Heart and Chemical Industry Nig. Ltd. He is also the Managing Director, Mac OKB Communication Nig. Ltd.

Chief Aputazie’s hobbies include: listening to music, road walk, playing football among others.

He joined the Board of Highland Microfinance Bank plc as a member in 2008.

Benjamin L. Mapac

Managing Director / CEO

Mr. Benjamin L. Mapac brings over 15 years of banking experience across community and microfinance banking sectors. He began his career at Maymat Information & Publishing Nigeria Ltd before joining Bukuru Community Bank (now Highland MFB), where he served in key roles including Head of Credit & Marketing, Head of Fund Processing, and Head of Operations.

He led the bank’s transition from manual to computerized systems, spearheaded PAR reduction strategies, and introduced the innovative group lending model that grew the bank’s outreach rapidly.

Mr. Mapac holds an MBA from ATBU Bauchi, PGD in Professional Accounting from Nigeria College of Accountancy, and is a Certified National Accountant (CNA)Microfinance Certified Banker (MCIB), and Senior Chartered Public Manager (SCPM). He is an alumnus of Plateau State Polytechnic and Kaduna Polytechnic.

He is actively involved in development work and currently chairs the Bokkos Elite Initiative for Development and serves on the COCIN Bukuru Empowerment & Welfare Committee.
